About Potter Insurance Agency Inc

The Potter Insurance Agency, Inc was founded in 1960 by Jerry & Margaret Potter. Jerry (Veteran serving in WW II & Korean War) opened a "scratch agency" in 1960 and worked for 32 years before retiring in 1992. Mr Potter won numerous awards during his 32 year career and is a Charter Member of the Nationwide Chairman's Life Council.

Jerry & Margaret retired in 1992 and their son Pat (also a Veteran with 11 years service) became the primary agent. Pat has been serving policyholders at the agency since 1984. We are proud to have served SWVA & East TN for over 50 years and look forward to servicing the needs of our neighbors for years to come.

The Potters Insurance Agency, Inc has over 95 years experience between our three staff members. We are a full service agency and we are proud of of Heritage and our Family Background.
